Afghanistan has large untapped energy and mineral resources, which have great potential to contribute to the country's economic development and growth. According to president Ghani, the mines can be one of the important sources of the country’s income. The conditions for extracting them and making use of the mines will be seriously considered and examined and fundamental measures will be taken in the field of transparent and effective management so that these income sources of the country will be effective in both, creating jobs and ensuring the state’s income. Based on its importance, the president promised that the local inhabitants of the extraction places will directly benefit 5% from its overall income.
