In President Ghani’s pre-election manifesto, he stated that creating appropriate living conditions for the security forces would be his government’s fundamental priority. President Ghani committed to the development of townships for the specific use of officers’ families, so that they can live there, send their children to school and have easy access to health care, water and electricity, would be necessary. Additionally the President committed to investing in hospitals to cater to wounded security personnel and ensuring that families of the martyred security forces are taken care of.
